Carl Edmison was born in Belvedere, IL, a small town where most inhabitants’ life ambition was working in the Chrysler Plant after high school. Dabbling with the Trumpet and acoustic guitar each for a year while still in grade school, he finally found his calling sitting behind a drum set. Much to his parents chagrin, he bought his first drum kit from his meager earnings delivering newspapers by the time he was 13. With a diverse love of music, having performed in a multitude of musical genres from Jazz to Country, from Blues to Rock, Pop to Metal, his desire to perform for live audiences has never dimmed. Taking time out to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and raise a family, he has found his youthful passion once again. Having helped out DF/W local bands for the past few years as a backup drummer, he was asked to sit in on a practice with Back to Blue in late 2007. He feels finally he has now found his musical purpose in life…… to provide the back beat and perhaps a little extra Thunder for Back to Blue.
